USAns will have to wait for ”Argument”
Good news and bad news came from Hollywood. Warner Bros. Studio has finally presented the release schedule for the spy thriller "Argument" - unfortunately, the USAs will see the new film by Christopher Nolan two weeks after the world premiere."Argument" was supposed to be released on July 17, but the coronavirus pandemic intervened. In recent weeks, WB executives have been deciding whether to release the film at a difficult time in theaters. Today it became known that the thriller will still hit the big screen, but it will do without a single worldwide premiere. The European screening of "Argument" will start on August 26, and a week later the film will be released in limited US distribution. The WB bosses took a huge risk: many states still do not risk opening cinemas. If the situation does not change in the next month, Dovod will lose the support of New York, Los Angeles and other megacities. Earlier on the Web, there was a rumor that the delay in release led to an increase in the marketing budget and now the film needs to raise about $ 800 million just to reach the level of payback.
