The Arrows writer has found his prophet
Writer and producer Mark Guggenheim is actively involved in the construction of the superhero universe The CW. He worked on "Arrow", "Legends of Tomorrow", and now he will give the screen life to another comic book character.The Guggenheim adapts the graphic novels about John the Prophet, a genetically enhanced super-soldier who is placed in a state of stasis to save for a future mission. However, John comes out of sleep earlier than the appointed time, and now he must find a mission that does not exist yet, and also gain humanity in order to settle down in a new society for him. John appeared on the pages of comics in 1992, and his creator is the famous Rob Leifeld. Some of the characters he invented for Marvel and DC, and his own "Universe of Extreme" last year came under the wing of Netflix. Studio 8, in turn, snatched the rights to the comic "The Prophet" and now plans to build a whole franchise based on it.  In 2018, when the project was just announced, Leifeld claimed that the film would tell about John's origins and would not be associated with any particular story arc from the comics. Looks like Mark Guggenheim will get some freedom in writing the script. In addition to The CW series, his track record includes the film "Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters", as well as the disastrous "Green Lantern", which everyone chose to forget.
