The Big Lebowski spin-off will be released in 2020
More than 20 years have passed since the release of The Big Lebowski, and as you know, the Coen brothers were not going to shoot a sequel with Jeff Bridges. Instead, the iconic comedy received a spin-off about Jesus Quintana, a charming yet disgusting bowling alley played by John Turturro. The work on the picture went on for over five years, and finally the information about the title and date of the film's premiere appeared on the Internet.The film, titled The Jesus Rolls, is set to hit the big screens in early 2020. More recently, the project was called Going Places ("Successful People"), but the producers, apparently, found the name not too bright and witty. According to the plot, three losers are drawn into an amazing love story. Rude, chauvinistic behavior and frivolous attitude to their actions give men trouble time after time - even when the heroes accidentally do good deeds. One day the trio acquires an enemy - a barber-bandit, and the adventure turns into an endless escape from the law, society and a dangerous barber. Simultaneously, the characters grow closer and become a family for each other.  John Turturro stated:“Today is the right time to show a film that goes beyond decency. This is a story about the stupidity of men who try, fail and try again to understand the secret of the female sex. ”Screen Media noted that the actor's passion for storytelling and character creation is unparalleled, and people will love Jesus like this. Recall that Turturro first came up with the idea to shoot a spin-off back in 2014, but the production of the picture was delayed for several years.
