Riggs and Murtaugh will shake things up
Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are not too old for hurricane chases, spectacular gunfights, killer jokes and sparkling dialogue. The famous film duet will return to the screens in the fifth part of "Lethal Weapon".Police officers Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh became partners in 1987. The original action movie by Richard Donner earned critical praise, entered the top 10 grossing films of the year, and played a critical role in popularizing the buddy movie genre. The hit movie received three sequels, which were released in 1989, 1992 and 1998. Talks about the creation of the fifth part have been going on since 2007. Despite the interest of Donner, Gibson, and Glover, Warner Bros. did not dare to give the film the green light. It looks like the company's management has finally found the perfect scenario. “We want to make the last movie about the adventures of Murtaugh and Riggs, said producer Dan Lin. -Richard Donner and the movie stars are ready to go.
