Michael Rooker may return to Marvel

Image Actor Michael Rooker, who played space pirate Yondu in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, recently announced in a podcast that he will be open to proposals for a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, provided he doesn't have to fill the same role. Franchise director James Gunn has also made it clear earlier that Yondu should stay dead in future films. Gunn explained that the return of the character would seriously devalue his actions and would only be possible in the context of flashbacks or a prequel.

Rooker created a memorable and voluminous image of a robber with complex morality on the screen. Although Yondu at one time kidnapped Peter Quill from Earth, it turns out that the pirate saved the life of a boy who was threatened with death at the hands of his biological father. At the end of the second film, the hero sacrifices himself for the survival of the pupil, and Qwill realizes that Yondu was his real father. The character's death scene has become one of the most emotional in the franchise: The Ravagers give the deceased an unforgettable funeral in outer space, filling the void with colorful fireworks.

Although there is still a lot of time before the premiere of the third part, viewers are already looking forward to the continuation of the story. Most likely, the plot will be built around the fact that in the current timeline Gamorra died, and her earlier version is still alive. It is also possible that some Guardians will appear in Thor: Love and Thunder, which has been pushed back to 2022.
