Jodie Foster will visit Guantanamo

Image Two Academy Award-winning Jodie Foster (The Silence of the Lambs), The Phantom Tower star Tahar Raheem and Shailene Woodley (The Descendants) join Benedict Cumberbatch in the true-to-life drama Prisoner 760. The project will be directed by Kevin MacDonald (The Last King of Scotland) and written by Michael Bronner.

In the center of the plot will be the Mauritanian Mohamed Slahi (Rahim) arrested by the US government, who was accused of having links with Al-Qaeda and preparing terrorist attacks. Despite the fact that he did not wait for a trial or an official presentation of charges, Mohamed was imprisoned in Guantanamo for 14 years. Having almost lost hope of justice, he suddenly found allies in the person of lawyer Nancy Hollander (Foster) and her assistant Teri Duncan (Woodley). Overcoming many obstacles and difficulties, enlisting the support of Attorney Stuart Coach (Cumberbatch), they not only helped Slahi, but also uncovered the whole conspiracy.

The script of the project is based on the memoirs of Mohamed himself "The Guantanamo Diaries", which became a bestseller. Filming for Prisoner 760 kicks off in December in South Africa.
