In 2010, the Sony studio released an extremely successful remake: the film "The Karate Kid" received worthy reviews in the press and repeatedly paid off the $ 40 million budget. The rewriting of the script looks like the right move, since 21-year-old Smith has lost the main trump cards of children - spontaneity, naivety and charm. Nevertheless, Sony representatives are in no hurry to confirm the information about the withdrawal of Dre Parker from the plot of "Karate Kid 2".
