Killing Affleck and Damon
A few days ago, Jodie Comer won an Emmy for her role as the mercenary Villanelle in the acclaimed thriller Killing Eve, so it was only a matter of time before the actress's new project, which would allow her to consolidate her star status. Comer chose the historical drama "The Last Duel", in which the legendary Ridley Scott was placed in the director's chair, and the main male roles were disassembled by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.The action of the picture will unfold in France in the XIV century, and two best friends will be in the center of the plot. One of them goes to war and, upon returning home, learns that his friend betrayed him by rape his wife. Nobody believes the woman, and the soldier appeals to the king himself, so that he would allow him to deal with the offender in a duel. Only one will come out of it alive ... Affleck and Damon will play two friends, while Comer claims to be the raped wife. So far, the project has not received the green light from Disney, but insiders say that participation in the filming of the newly minted Emmy winner is a settled matter.  The role of Villanelle brought Jody Comer good dividends: immediately after the first season of Killing Eve, the actress received an offer to star in the comedy Free, which will be released next year.
