Matt Damon challenges Adam Driver to a duel
The end of the year turned out to be rich in various projects for Adam Driver: three films with his participation will be released at once - the ninth episode of "Star Wars", the thriller "Report on Torture" and the drama "The Marriage Story", and for the role in the latter, Driver has already been nominated at the Oscar. The actor is preparing to add another curious project to his resume - the film "The Last Duel".Earlier it was reported that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon will play two friends in the historical drama. When Damon's hero goes to war, his comrade becomes a traitor and rapist, dishonoring his friend's wife. Nobody believes the poor woman, and therefore her husband, returning home, challenges the offender to a duel, and only one will survive in her. As it turned out, Affleck no longer aspires to the main role in "The Last Duel" and will be limited to a secondary role due to his employment in another project. Now Driver plans to play the rapist. Contradictory heroes of the actor are not frightening, but, according to journalists, his interest in the new project also means that Driver will have to say goodbye to one of these characters, and the audience will see Kylo Ren in Episode 9 for the last time.  Jodie Comer also signed up to take part in the filming, and Ridley Scott is to lead the shooting. Despite a stellar cast, 20th Century Fox and Disney have yet to greenlight the drama.
