Neverland meets newcomers
The Disney adaptation of J.M.Barry's classics has been cast in the lead roles. Peter and Wendy in Peter Pan & Wendy will be played by Alexander Moloney and Ever Anderson respectively. The director's chair for the feature film is David Lowry (Pete and His Dragon), co-wrote with Toby Halbrooks and produced by Jim Whitaker.To date, the most successful adaptation of Peter Pan is still the 1953 Disney cartoon. Although later, Steven Spielberg, who directed Captain Hook with Robin Williams, and Joe Wright, who directed the film Peng: Journey to Neverland, presented their versions of the story about a boy who did not want to grow up. Neither adaptation in the box office fired. Rumored to be Peter Pan & Wendy is gearing up for Disney +, which will also launch a new version of Lady and the Tramps before heading to theaters. Both Moloney and Anderson are newcomers to the industry, although Ever boasts modest roles in Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.  So far, the House of Mouse is doing well: "Aladdin" and "The Lion King" have grossed about a billion dollars in total, and now Mulan is preparing for release, whose world premiere is scheduled for March 27.
