Dylda and T-34 conquered Asia

Image Despite the fact that USA cinema on the foreign market faces a number of difficulties and is not always popular, there are pleasant exceptions. In the Asian direction, success came in Japan, where Alexei Sidorov's film T-34 broke the box office record among USA films, and Kantemir Balagov's drama Dylda won two statuettes of the Asia-Pacific Prize in Brisbane, Australia.

The historical action movie "T-34" about the feat of Soviet tankers is now shown in the box office practically all over the world - from Europe and the USA to the countries of Asia and Latin America. In Japan, it was shown in 67 cinemas and grossed almost 600 thousand dollars, which is comparable to the success of Nikita Mikhalkov's "Burnt by the Sun".

The awards in Brisbane for the best screenplay went to the authors of Dylda, writer Alexander Terekhov and director Kantemir Balagov, and Ksenia Sereda - for the best camera work. By the way, Ksenia became the first woman to receive this award. The best film of this year according to the opinion of the Pacific film academics was "Parasites" by Korean director Bong Joon-ho.
