Pixar is thinking about the soul
Not so long ago, Pixar executives promised that after the release of Toy Story 4, they will begin to pay more attention to fresh ideas. The bosses of the famous animation studio turned out to be people of their word. Today Pixar presented its new original project - the full-length animated film Soul.In 2015, the Pixar people released a wonderful "Puzzle", which told about the work of the brain under the control of five basic emotions. The Pete Docter cartoon grossed $ 857.6 million and has a huge crop of film awards, including Oscars, Annie, Golden Globes and BAFTAs. Now Pixar employees decided to study the human soul. The preliminary synopsis of Soul promises that viewers will experience an amazing journey through the streets of New York and the cosmic worlds in search of answers to life's most important questions.  The script for the cartoon was written by Mag LeFow ("Puzzle", "Captain Marvel") and Pete Docter. The latter will also take his directorial chair. Docter started to get involved in animation while studying at the University of Minnesota. Soon his amateur work caught the attention of Pixar executives. The very next day after graduation, Pete received an official offer to join the small but friendly team of Pixar. At that time, only nine people worked in the company's animation department. Docter played a huge role in the studio's success. In his 29 years at Pixar, he has received eight Oscar nominations as a writer and director. He won his first Academy Award in 2010 for Up. Six years later, Pete again won an Oscar with Puzzle.  Earlier it became known that soon Pixar fans are waiting for another original cartoon - "Forward". The world premiere of the film about the dizzying adventures of two elf brothers will take place on March 4, 2020. As for "Soul", it will hit the broadcaster on June 19 of the same year.
