Image The oldest film school in the world has published on its website the works of famous USA filmmakers, created during their studies at VGIK. The list was made up of three large groups of educational and coursework: a short film of the Soviet period, then USA, as well as animation.

The works of such masters of cinema as Andrei Tarkovsky, Vladimir Menshov, Nikita Mikhalkov, Andrei Konchalovsky, Karen Shakhnazarov, Fyodor Bondarchuk and others got into the Soviet period. The work of Anna Melikyan, Petr Buslov, Alexey German Jr., Slava Ross and Alexander Kott turned out to be in the USA period.

In addition, on the VGIK website, you can see a documentary film dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the institution, which was celebrated last year. The world's first cinematography school was established in Moscow on September 1, 1919. At first there was only a studio for film-naturists - that is how the actors were called 100 years ago. And in 1923 and 1924 workshops for camera and directing appeared. Currently, the institute has eight faculties, many departments and laboratories.
