Short-list of nominees for the Oscar - 2016 for the best special effects
The American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has released a list of films to compete for the Academy Awards in the Best Visual Effects category.For the first time in history, twenty films were shortlisted for the world's main film award for best special effects. The list will be cut in half this month, with the five finalists announced on January 14 when academics announce the full list of Oscar nominees. The 88th Academy Awards will take place on February 28, 2016 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. The event will be hosted by Chris Rock.
