Oscar - 2018: shortlist for Best Special Effects
The American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences continues to present the world's premier film awards to the public. Last month, animation filmmakers entered the Oscar race, and now it is the turn of CGI and practical effects experts.The Film Academy has released a list of films that passed the pre-screening sieve for Best Visual Effects. By the end of December, a special Oscar committee will reduce the shortlist from twenty to ten films, and the final five finalists in this category will be announced next month. The names of the nominees for the gold statuette in this and other nominations will be announced on January 23. As a reminder, the 90th Academy Awards ceremony will take place on March 4 at the Dolby Cinema in Los Angeles.
