Trainspotting sequel: complete
Movieweb has learned that TriStar Pictures will distribute the sequel to the cult film “ Trainspotting ”, and the premiere of the film itself will take place in 2017. It is reported that not only director Danny Boyle and screenwriter John Hodge will return to work on the sequel, but the entire main cast of the first part in the person of Ewan McGregor, Johnny Lee Miller, Ewan Bremner and Robert Carlisle, although earlier the participation of Miller and Carlisle remained in question due to their work on television.The project is produced by Andrew MacDonald, Danny Boyle , Christian Colson and Bernard Bellew. Filming of the second part will begin next spring, and the premiere of the sequel, by the way, will be timed to coincide with the 21st anniversary of the release of Trainspotting . “It's been twenty years since we haven't seen these heroes. The script by John Hodge is great, and we will give the viewers all the details of what happened to our friends over the years ”, - noted Danny Boyle .  The sequel was originally supposed to be titled "Porn" , just like the novel by Irwin Welch, which it is based on.
