Casting: McKellen - to the butlers, Russell - to the oil platform
According to the information portal Variety , Ian McKellen has joined the cast of " Beauties and the Beasts " - a full-length game version of the cartoon of the same name.Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Josh Gad and Emma Thompson have already received registration in the remake. The film is directed by Bill Condon, and the script was written by Evan Spiliotopoulos and Stephen Chbosky. McKellen , who was recently seen as Gandalf in The Battle of the Five Armies, will play in the new project Cogsworth - a butler turned into a mantel clock from castle Monsters . The actor will soon appear in the detective story "Mr. Holmes", which was also directed by Bill Condon .  Dylan O'Brien and Kurt Russell are in talks to take part in the filming of Peter Berg's drama Underwater Horizon , which stars already staked out for himself Mark Wahlberg. The plot of the picture is based on real events that took place in 2010. An explosion on an oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico killed 11 people, and the oil spill that followed was the largest in US history.   O'Brien will play the youngest member of the crew who survived the explosion but lost his friends in the film. There is no information about the role of Kurt Russell . The actor's future projects include The Hateful Eight by Quentin Tarantino and the Western Bone Tomahawk, and Dylan O'Brien is preparing for the premiere of the sequel to The Maze Runner.  Sofia Boutella , known to viewers from Matthew Vaughan's recently released film Kingsman: The Secret Service, landed a role in the Star Trek triquel . The new blockbuster Justin Lin will be in charge of filming and scripted by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung. Since the details of the plot have not been disclosed, it is not known who Boutella will play. Pegg , Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin and John Cho have already confirmed their return to the third part of the franchise.
