According to Deadline , the French company Backup Films has begun work on its first English-language drama series, Britain ( Britannia ).The idea of creating a historical drama belongs to Martha Little . Neil Marshall ("The Descent") will participate in the work on the script, but it is not yet known whether the nominee for the " Emmy " will take the director's chair of the eight-part project. In the center of the plot will be the Roman conquest of Britain, and one of the main characters of the series will be the queen of the Izen tribe Boudicca , whose lands were occupied by invaders after the death of her husband.
