And although Johnny Depp was not nominated for Oscar for his role in Black Mass, the actor does not want to say goodbye to criminal dramas. According to the portal Collider , Depp is negotiating to get the leading role in the movie " Triple Border ".The first news about the project appeared back in 2009. Then the film was planned to be shot by Catherine Bigelow, with the support of screenwriter Mark Boal. In 2010, they also approached Depp with a proposal. However, Bigelow refused to lead the shoot after being offered a budget of $ 80 million with one condition - to take Will Smith for the lead role. Smith as a result is no longer involved in the project, and Depp may return. The actor's colleague on the set is likely to be Tom Hanks.  The title of the film, Triple Border , is a reference to the border zone between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil, where the Iguazu and Parana rivers converge. Thanks to its favorable natural conditions, the area is an ideal place for organized crime to thrive. The filming will be directed by JC Chandor (Most Brutal Year), who joined the project last year.  This year, Depp will be featured in the fantasy Alice Through the Looking Glass and the indie drama Yoga Lovers, and recently completed filming for the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean.
