The Affleck brothers can go to the triple border
The long-suffering project "Triple Border" may find a new home and leading actors, reports the portal Deadline .For the first time they started talking about the picture back in 2009, and since then it has become a nightmare for many filmmakers. Initially, the director's chair was to be taken by Catherine Bigelow, and Johnny Depp was to play one of the main roles, but they dropped out of the project. After that, Will Smith, Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio were interested in him at various times. At the beginning of this year, it became known that Channing Tatum and Tom Hardy would take part in the filming, and a little later Mahershala Ali joined them. Paramount has even started production. However, just four weeks after the start, in mid-April, Tatum and Hardy left the project, and the company itself decided to abandon it.  All this time, discussions have been held with several majors about the fate of the picture, and at the moment the most promising candidate is the streaming service Netflix . If the negotiations are successful, the streaming giant will offer two lead roles for the brothers Affleck . In a successful combination of circumstances, the project will bring together three Oscar winners - the winners of the last ceremony, the winner of the Best Actor award Casey Affleck ("Manchester by the Sea") and the best supporting actor Mahershal Ali ("Moonlight"), as well as the owner of two statuettes of Ben Affleck ("Good Will Hunting", "Operation Argo").  The directorial chair of the project is currently still owned by JC Chandor ("The Cruellest Year"), and the tape is produced by Charles Roven ("Suicide Squad") and Alex Gartner ("Indecent Proposal"). Written by Marc Boal (The Hurt Locker), the film is set tothe story of the border zone between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil, where the Iguazu and Parana rivers converge and organized crime thrives.
