Mikhail Svetin passed away
Today, at the age of 85, a theater and film actor, People's Artist of USA Mikhail Svetin has died. He was hospitalized a week earlier with a preliminary diagnosis of stroke. Despite the surgery and the serious condition of the actor, the doctors hoped for the best to the last.Born Mikhail Semenovich Svetin in 1930 in Kiev. Although the actor himself has repeatedly stated in his interviews that the correct date of his birth is December 11, 1929, but they simply made a mistake in the passport office. After graduating from the Kiev School of Music Svetin decided to try his hand at acting. But Mikhail Semenovich was disappointed: he was refused admission to a Moscow theater university several times. His career on the stage Svetin began in the town of Kamyshin, Stalingrad Region, after which the actor managed to work in theaters in Kemerovo, Petropavlovsk, Irkutsk, Penza and Petrozavodsk. In 1970, Mikhail Semenovich ended up in the Maly Drama Theater in Leningrad and subsequently gave him ten years of his life. And already in 1980, the actor came to the St. Petersburg Academic Comedy Theater. N.P. Akimova , where he served until his last days.  The talent of the great comedian Svetin was most fully revealed in the cinema.
