Be our husband

Image Today could have turned 75 years old Andrei Mironov - one of the brightest, most talented and dearly loved by the domestic audience actors. He left us quite early, but the richness of his life would have been enough for many for a hundred years. And after himself he left only good things - both a great creative heritage and the warmest memories of the people around him.

Mironov was born into a family of famous pop artists March 7, 1941 , but the parents indicated the child's date of birth on March 8 , joking that he was" a gift for women on Women's Day ". Well, this joke turned out to be largely prophetic - women really adored him. Then he was not yet an actor, but just a boy Andrey bore his father's surname - Menaker , but after the infamous Doctors' Cause, when the persecution of Jews began, family friends advised parents to change their son's surname to my mother.

Despite the creative environment surrounding the boy, in childhood he was no different from his peers - he also played on the street, studied well, but not too much, did not like exact sciences and loved ice cream. However, his famous charm made itself felt even then - in the class he was considered the unequivocal leader. In addition, Andrey was neat and neat, and he carried this trait throughout his life - the actor always dressed very stylishly, with a needle.

At the age of 11, Mironov almost made his debut - he was chosen for the role in the film Sadko, but in the end the director rejected the boy. Apparently, it was then that Andrey became interested in theatrical art. At first he played in a school circle, then in a studio at the Central Children's Theater . The parents thought it was just a hobby, expecting Mironov to become a translator. But the usually problem-free son took and entered the School named after Boris Shchukin .

Initially, there was no special talent in the young man, but perseverance and hard work in him would be enough for the entire course. If he passed the exam even for a four, then he immediately went to retake. His classmate, Mikhail Vorontsov , recalled that he was surprised at this and somehow shared his thoughts with his mother. She answered categorically: "Remember, Misha , you will never be a real artist, but he will be." "Why is that?", - Vorontsov was indignant."Because,- said my mother, -that you have no vanity". And she was right.

However, vain Andrey Alexandrovich was in the good sense of the word, rather it can even be called perfectionism. Otherwise, Mironov was an extremely sincere and modest man, completely devoid of any arrogance and pride. So in the school, unlike his fellow students, who were eager to see the screens despite the ban of the leadership, he honestly followed the rules and studied diligently. And he was rewarded - he was officially allowed in his fourth year to star in the film "And if this is love?"

In 1962, Mironov graduated from drama school and went to work in the Moscow Theater of Satire . He remained faithful to this temple of culture until the end, having served there for 25 years. In the same 62, he got the first more or less serious role in the film "My little brother" - a sad, albeit bright story about the human path and becoming. Four friends who have just graduated from high school - Denis , Alik , Yurka ( Mironov ) and Galya, - do not want to listen to the advice of adults and decide to leave their hometown. Many adventures and hardships await them, they have to reconsider their principles, grow up and understand what is really valuable in life. The picture was not a resounding success, but it was still favorably received by the audience, and young actors were noticed and approved. A good debut was fixed in the comedy "3 + 2", where Mironov played one of the main roles - the veterinarian Roman . An easy romantic story about the relationship of three guys and two girls who started sharing a place to relax on the seashore, and today brings a smile.

After that, there was a short break, during which the actor mainly devoted himself to the theater stage. The film "Beware of the Car" became a real impetus for future success. The film about the adventures of "Soviet Robin Hood " proved to be incredibly popular. Of course, the main attention went to Innokentiy Smoktunovsky ( Detochkin ) and Oleg Efremov ( Podberezovikov ), but also the seller-speculator Dima Samotsvetov , played by a young actor Andrey Mironov , immediately fascinated the audience. This role was recognized as one of the best in the film, and already here we can see the famous mastery of the artist, as well as the basis of the role of "charming swindler", which later fell in love with the audience.

Image

This role, which later became so annoying for the artist himself, was fully developed in the Soviet hit "Diamond Hand". It makes no sense to reveal the plot, since hardly any of the domestic viewers did not watch this incendiary comedy of Gaidai. The script was practically taken away from the cues into quotes, even children know the songs by heart, and in general the whole story has taken deep roots in Soviet and USA culture. Of course, this is the merit of the brilliant acting ensemble, who created vivid and memorable images. But it was the duet of a decent, but stupid and a bit ridiculous Gorbunkov and a brilliant swindler Gesha Kozodoev forced to drag after him that conquered the delighted audience. And although in the center of the plot is the figure of Semyon Semyonich , who was played by the already popular Nikulin at that time, The 27-year-old Mironov is drawing attention at the same level, eclipsing his older and more experienced colleagues. So after the first screening, the young actor woke up as a beloved folk idol. His debut as a singer also took place here. Now it is difficult for us to imagine our musical culture without the heartfelt voice of Mironov , but in childhood his parents were sure that he had neither hearing nor voice, and Gaidai generally agreed to leave the song about savages only after much persuasion by Nikulin . And he made the right decision - along with " Songs about hares " "Island of bad luck" instantly went to the people.

For Andrei Mironov , this picture has become both a path to eternal glory and a personal curse. The image of a charismatic rogue haunted him to the end of his life, while the actor was gifted dramatically and dreamed of serious work. And if in the theater he embodied very complex, multifaceted and deep images on stage, then filmmakers saw him more in frivolous and most often "singing" roles.

Image

But the actor did not give up. So, he played one of the central roles in the film almanac "Family Happiness" based on Chekhov's stories, showing that his skill is enough to delicately reflect all the nuances of the master of psychological prose. His character in the adventure tragicomedy "Property of the Republic" is also curious. The action takes place after the end of the Civil War, the hero Mironov ( Marquis , a fencing teacher in a noble family) is trying to take out of the country a collection of art objects left over from the former owners. According to the plot, The Marquis is more of a negative character, but thanks to the artist's charm and his ability to create ambiguous images, the fencing teacher evokes empathy more than others, and all Soviet viewers shed tears over his death. At all, such images are Mironov's strong point . He knew how to look at the same time very cheerful, frivolous, causing involuntary sympathy, and at the same time make the character really deep.

However, he knew how to perform similar roles with a double bottom and in a different way. In the film "Old Men-Robbers", his Proskudin unambiguously arouses hostility - after all, he is a "thug" and is trying to expel a good experienced employee from work, whom they want to dismiss because of age. But it is paradoxical that for all the abomination of the character, he still attracts attention, the charisma of Mironov makes him convex and multidimensional.

In 1973, the Soviet Union conquered another hit featuring Andrey - "The Incredible Adventures of Italians in USA." The sparkling parody of Western gangster films has caused a noisy response. The film is good in itself: it has many references and allusions to the cinema of this genre, witty humor, good acting, and, like the icing on the cake, - Mironov , who plays an annoying guide for Italian tourists. not suspecting that a Soviet militiaman is actually watching their pursuit of the hidden treasures in Leningrad. It is curious that Andrey performed all the stunts in the film independently, and many of them were quite risky.

Mironov also had films with roles especially loved by the audience. In the funny vaudeville "Straw Hat" he played the hapless womanizer Fadinar , who on his wedding day had to look for a hat instead of the one that his horse ate. And all because this wardrobe item belonged to a lady who was not vacationing with her legal husband. In the musical film "Heavenly Swallows", the actor again created a dual image - both as a pious teacher of singing in a boarding house for noble maidens, and a composer who composes frivolous songs for the local theater.

As a music performer, Mironov was very much loved by Soviet composers. His characteristic soft voice immediately fell in love with the audience, but the main thing was not him, but his masterly ability to master it. Andrey was able to express the essence of the song much deeper than in the text with precise accents in intonation, and even, if necessary, give words a completely different meaning (which was not the most superfluous skill under Soviet censorship). And when Mironov did not make irony, a genuine, sincere warmth sounded in his singing. No wonder his songs were adored by the children of the whole Union. And until now we all know and love his best works:"My sail is turning white, so lonely ...", "Butterfly with its wings byak - byak-byak-byak ...", "Let's quietly, let's in an undertone. .. "and many others. Unfortunately,

Many consider the controversial role of Bender from the film adaptation of "12 Chairs". There is even a joke that all people are divided into two types - those who believe that the best Ostap was with Mironov , and those who prefer the Great Combinator Archila Gomiashvili. One way or another, the interpretation of Andrey was very curious, and the songs from the film were, as expected, written among the people. Bender performed by Mironov was notable for its unexpected tragedy: for all the outward brilliance and frivolity in the eyes of the hero, hidden sadness is always visible. The actor himself explained this by the fact that, from his point of view, Bender lived in the wrong time and in the wrong place, being at the same time a talented and gifted person. This was his tragedy.

“You're attractive, I'm pretty damn attractive. Why waste time? ”

But in the touching fairy tale "An Ordinary Miracle" there were no complaints to Mironov . Here again his amazing ability to sensitively grasp the edge without overwhelming the main characters - The Wizard , Bear and Princess , was manifested, but at the same time his hero is impossible not notice how bright it is. The usual image of a charming bastard was greeted by the audience with a bang, as were his songs.

Another controversial film is Three Men in a Boat, Not including a Dog. In it, Mironov plays several roles - the author Jerome K. Jerome himself, one of his friends who went on a trip to the Thames, as well as a number of other characters. At one time, the picture was accused of an overly free interpretation of the original, but when the excitement subsided, the audience appreciated the subtle humor, as well as the charming heroes, and this is largely the merit of Andrey , as he pulled out half of the picture.

The audience also liked the comedy “Be My Husband” about two unlucky holiday-makers who cannot find accommodation on the sea. They meet and agree to pretend to be a married couple to be let in by the strict landlady. Many comic twists and turns await them, as a result of which pretense is replaced by the emergence of sincere feelings. This is a very kind film, besides, any woman of the Union would not refuse to offer Mironov to be her husband.

Image

With age, the actor's eyes clearly began to be traced carefully controlled sadness. He was an unusually bright person - are there many show business figures about whom there is not a single bad comment? And about Mironov absolutely everyone said that he had never done any harm to anyone. He was really loved. By his mere presence on the set or behind the scenes, he relieved tension and dispelled any quarrels. Intelligent, always smiling, able to joke (but never hurt), modest, ready to help others - it was impossible to dislike him. The audience adored such a cheerful artist. And then few people could have thought that in fact he was cruelly tormented by a whole bunch of diseases, that he was in pain from every movement. But Andrey Mironov

In many ways, his real essence was manifested in one of the last works - "The Tale of Wanderings". This film undeservedly remains in the shadows when people talk about the work of Mironov . And at the same time, it is here that we can see the real Andrey , the way he was in life. The lyrical story tells about a girl Martha , looking for her brother May , who was kidnapped by a bandit because of his ability to feel gold. Mironov plays a doctor, inventor, thinker, poet and just an idealist Orlando . He decides to help the girl. Together they go through many trials until Orlando gives his life to save people from the witch Plague . Perhaps we can say that Andrey did not play here, but was himself. His character is like a candle in the darkness of the surrounding medieval world, inert, cruel, mired in vices, greed and cynicism. His faith in the strength of the human spirit, in the best that is in people, in the light that science and art brings, in the fact that even the worst person lives with kindness - this faith seems to disperse the darkness that has thickened around the heroes. And even though he, as befits a man of ideals, perishes for the sake of others, at the end of the film it does not remain without reward. This is one of the most poignant and powerful film roles of Andrey Mironov .

" Billy , load!"

After that there were several more interesting films where we will no longer see the actor in his silly role, such as the tragicomedy "The Blonde Around the Corner", the drama "My Friend Ivan Lapshin". And the artist completed his film career truly beautifully, although not on purpose. It is about the film "The Man from Boulevard des Capucines". Sad irony of fate, but in this picture Mironov seemed to have summed up his whole life. Played by him, Mr. Fest , who believes in the ennobling power of cinema - as an actor himself, all his life trying to bring the eternal and light to people. It also makes no sense to talk a lot about this picture - like " The Diamond Arm ", this is one of the masterpieces of Soviet cinema. Another sad irony - the main character, through the lips of Mironov , says: “When a person has a purpose in life, death is not afraid of him". He lived like that himself.

Andrei Mironov died the way any artist dreams of it - on stage. On August 14, 1987, he played the role of Figaro in his most popular play, Crazy Day, or The Marriage of Figaro , when, during the fifth scene of the third act, he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. The best doctors fought for his life, but, unfortunately, on August 20, 1987, at the age of only 46, the people's favorite died. He was bitterly mourned not only by his close people and colleagues, but also by the whole Soviet Union.

The death of Andrei Mironov closed an entire era. This actor was perceived by many and is still perceived as a symbol, a living embodiment of all the best that was in Soviet cinema: high skill, complete dedication, kindness and faith in ideals, faith in a person and the elevation of his spirit. All this was in him. That is why his early death was perceived by the country so painfully. Fortunately, thanks to the magic of cinema, we can still see today how the bright eyes of Andrei Mironov are looking at us from the screen, calling us to make the world a better place - as he himself did.
