MGM launches new Thomas Crown scam
Following the success of the sports drama Creed: The Rocky Legacy, Michael B. Jordan and MGM want to work together again. According to the portal The Hollywood Reporter , the studio is preparing a remake of the thriller " The Thomas Crown Affair ", in which the main role is offered to the actor.The project is still in its early stages of preparation and has yet to receive a scriptwriter or director. However, the source claims that MGM management is satisfied with the results of Creed and wants to get Jordan in their new film. The future picture will not be the first remake of the 1968 tape, in which Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway played the main roles.At the center of the film is a wealthy intellectual businessman who, in his spare time, commits robberies. When the insurance investigator Vicki contacts him, the hero begins to have an affair with her, while planning a new crime.  The first remake with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo was released in 1999. With a budget of $ 48 million , the film managed to collect $ 124.3 million at the world box office. Michael B. Jordan drew attention to himself after the release of Fruitvale Station. Subsequently, the actor starred in Fantastic Four, which failed at the box office, and in Creed , which earned $ 109 million in home theaters.
