Hostage of the Cave Bear Clan
As reported by Deadline , Pierre Morel ("The Hostage") has been appointed to direct the pilot episode of the drama series The Cave Bear Clan ( The Clan Of The Cave Bear ), which is being developed by Lifetime and Fox 21 , Lionsgate TV and Imagine TV.The plot of the series will be based on the book of the same name by Jean M. Oel, which is set 25 thousand years ago. The main character of the novel is the girl Eila , who, after the death of her native Cro-Magnon tribe, found shelter in the Neanderthal clan. The cast of the drama includes Millie Brady, Johnny Ward and Hal Ozsen. The pilot was written by Linda Wolverton (The Lion King, Maleficent) and produced by Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, Allison Schirmour, Francie Calfo and Jean M. Oel .  In 1986, the novel Oel was already the basis of the plot of the feature film by Michael Chapman, starring Daryl Hannah, Pamela Reed and James Remar.
