Joe Carnahan can connect with the bad guys
According to the portal Collider , Sony Pictures invited Joe Carnahan to rewrite the script for the Bad Boys triquel and lead the shooting of this picture.The latest news about the third part of the franchise appeared in August 2014. Then Martin Lawrence, who played one of the main roles in the first two films, expressed his desire to return to the triquel, and producer Jerry Bruckheimer argued that only a finished script was needed to start a full-fledged work on the project. True, the director's chair at that time was offered to Michael Bay, who shot the previous parts, and the screenwriter was David Guggenheim. As for Will Smith, his participation in the project is still in question. The source says that if Carnahan quickly finishes work on the text, then Smith will be able to join the crew of the third part in the fall, after the filming of the blockbuster "Suicide Squad".  In the filmography of Carnahan one can find such films as "Smokin 'Aces", "Fight" and "Team A". The director also worked on the NBC TV series "Blacklist" ( Blacklist ).
