Brian Singer will sail with Captain Nemo
While the blockbuster X-Men: Apocalypse, whose world premiere is scheduled for May 27, 2016 , is at the post-production stage, its director Brian Singer managed to complete work on the script of his next project .The filmmaker did not fail to seize the opportunity and shared this information on social networks. It turns out that Singer worked on the adaptation of Jules Verne's novel 20 Thousand Leagues Under the Sea , with the help of screenwriters Rick Sordelet and Dan Stadney. In the future, Brian plans to lead the filming of the film adaptation. Initially, the novel was published in the form of short stories, published in magazines from 1869 to 1870, and later the full version of the work was released. In the center of the book is the captain Nemo and the crew of his submarine Nautilus , who get involved in all sorts of adventures.  Verne has been adapted for large screens numerous times. And perhaps the most successful is the 1954 version that won two Oscars awards, starring Kirk Douglas and Peter Lorr.  Several years ago, Disney studio was working on the next film adaptation of the work, and David Fincher was planning to lead the shooting. There is no confirmed information about which of the major projects Singer is working on at the moment, but insiders suggest that it may be a film by 20th Century Fox .  The details of the future film are still kept secret, but Singer promised that the film adaptation will turn out to be an epic and emotional tape suitable for the whole family. The director also assured that he had no plans to leave the X-Men universe, and just recently there were rumors that he was working on a crossover of the same X-Men and the Fantastic Four.
