Brad Pitt will add to his list of production projects with the adaptation of the sci-fi novel by Amy Kaufman and Jay Kristoff Illuminae . >The Hollywood Reporter . The actor's company Plan B Entertainment and the studio Warner Bros. The book only went on sale last month, but has already hit the New York Times bestseller list. Literary critics have especially noted the curious way of designing the novel. The authors decided to present the story in the form of classified documents, drawings, interviews, letters and medical reports. The main characters of the book are the hacker girl Kady and her ex-boyfriend Ezra , who find themselves in the middle of an intergalactic war. The protagonists have to flee from an alien race, an unfriendly artificial intelligence and a rapidly spreading deadly virus ...  Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner will be co-producing the film for Pitt . The filmmakers have already started looking for a screenwriter who could adapt the original for the big screen.
