High School Musical will continue
Back in the day, High School Musical became a phenomenon, and now, ten years after the release of the first film, Disney Channel is preparing a sequel to the franchise. Movieweb news portal informs that casting for High School Musical 4 has officially started.It is known that in the sequel the audience will be presented with a new team "Wild Cats" , which will have to fight with rivals from another school. The director's chair for the project has been given to Jeffrey Hornaday (Summer. Beach. Cinema), he will also direct the choreography for the film. The script will be written by Daniel Berendsen and Peter Barsocchini, who has worked on the previous three films in the series.  The first High School Musical debuted on Disney Channel January 20, 2006 and attracted 7.7 million viewers - a record number of viewers for the channel at that time.
