High School Musical Writer to Film Michael Jackson
High School Musical Creator Kenny Ortega will direct a feature-length movie about Michael Jackson for Sony Pictures. According to Variety, for this purpose, Sony will acquire from AEG Entertainment recordings of Jackson's last rehearsals ahead of the planned London tour. The deal will amount to $ 50 million. It is assumed that the picture will include several video clips of Jackson, including a new version of Thriller. The clips will be shown in stereoscopic format, however, the overall format of the entire movie has not yet been announced. Sony plans to release the movie before the end of 2009.
