Danny Boyle returns to TV
In 2014, British director Danny Boyle (Trainspotting) filmed a pilot for Babylon for Channel 4 , and now the eminent filmmaker decided to try his luck again on television. According to / Film , despite his involvement with Trainspotting 2, Danny took over the development of a ten-part satirical drama for the cable network FX .Boyle will direct the miniseries, dubbed Trust , and will share production with longtime colleague Simon Beaufoy. Together they worked on successful projects such as 127 Hours and Slumdog Millionaire. Another partner of Danny , Christian Colson, is responsible for the script. How many episodes will be directed by Boyle himself has not yet been announced.  The plot of the satirical drama will focus on the kidnapping of the young John Paul Getty III - the grandson of the famous oil tycoon. In 1973, he found himself in the hands of cunning Italian mafiosi, counting on a solid ransom, but the young man's relatives reacted rather sluggishly to the event, so the police even considered the incident a joke. The fact was that the father of the kidnapped was in London (enjoying drug addiction, refusing to answer phone calls), and his legendary grandfather - perhaps the richest man in the world at that time - locked himself in one of his mansions with a group of mistresses and a trained lion. Only the victim's mother tried to negotiate with the criminals, but she just didn't have a penny ...  According to the channel's management, this story about the collision of three generations, big money and the customs of their owners, has so much deep drama that it will be enough for more than one season.
