As reported by The Hollywood Reporter , Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto have signed new contracts with Paramount to guarantee their participation in the fourth film of the Star Trek franchise and also provide more favorable terms of cooperation.Initially, the deals for the main cast were concluded back in 2007 and are designed for a trilogy. In 2009, the reboot of the famous sci-fi franchise brought the studio $ 385 million , but the bosses of Paramount did not offer the actors to renegotiate the terms of their contracts. In 2013, Star Trek: Retribution earned $ 467 million at the worldwide box office, but even then the stars of the film series were left without an increase. However, the work on the triquel dragged on for a long time, because of which the studio was finally forced to meet the actors halfway. Under California law, a long-term contract must be terminated or renegotiated seven years after its commencement.  Pine's fee for the first film was $ 600 thousand , and the sequel has already brought him $ 1.5 million . The actor's salary for the triquel was originally supposed to be $ 3 million , but after the contract was renegotiated, it was doubled. The royalties of Chris's colleagues are kept secret, but insiders have learned that the new contracts of the actors have increased the budget of the triquel by at least $ 10-15 million . It has not yet been announced whether the performers of the roles of other members of the " Enterprise " crew will participate in the fourth part.  Work on the triquel kicked off in Vancouver today.
