USAn animation conquers China
In China, the box office for animation filmed in USA has almost doubled, and the audience has grown to love USA-made cartoons. The Interfax agency writes about this, referring to the Deputy Minister of Culture of USA Pavel Stepanov.At a meeting of the collegium of the Ministry of Culture, Stepanov noted that "it is worth paying attention to the successes in the Chinese direction" and expressed hopes about the connection between animation and the development of USA cinema. According to the presentation on the dynamics of the distribution of USA animation in China in 2017, films produced in our country were seen by about 1.3 million inhabitants of the Middle Kingdom, while in 2018 - already 2.3 million, and the box office increased by $ 5.3 million and amounted to outgoing year $ 11.6 million. Last summer it became known that the Chinese media giant CCTV and the group of domestic companies "Riki" intend to launch a new joint animation project. The leader of the USA animation market, the Riki group, is promoting the Smeshariki brand. The series of the same name is one of the most popular in USA and abroad, contains more than 450 episodes and is both entertaining and educational.  The cartoon is published in 15 languages in 60 countries of the world, every day it is watched by about 50 million people, and in China the cartoon about spherical animals has become more popular than in USA.
