Gibson and Farrell fight the drug cartel
Millennium Films and director Tommy Virkola ("Witch Hunters") have opened casting for the action thriller War Pigs. As it became known to The Hollywood Reporter, Mel Gibson and Colin Farrell were the first recruits of the cast of the intriguing film project.In the center of the plot will be the former marines, who will have to take up arms again in order to take revenge on the members of the drug cartel for the murder of a comrade in arms. The original script by John Niven (Kill Your Friends) was titled The Takedown, but then Millennium Films decided to rename the film. It seems that the studio bosses did not pay attention to the fact that three years ago a nondescript action movie called "War Pigs" was already on the screen. Information about the roles of Gibson and Farrell is still kept secret. So far, we only know that Mel's character in the script is called Pastor, and Colin is called Drex.   The film will be produced by renowned Hollywood film moguls Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Constantine: Lord of Darkness) and Avi Lerner (The Expendables).
