Marvel pushes the boundaries

Image While the audience is trying to fully comprehend the events of "War of Infinity", Marvel is making plans for the future. The third phase of the cinematic universe will be completed by the fourth "Avengers", after which Phase 4 will begin, and in it, as the portal The Hollywood Reporter found out, will not do without the race of the Eternals.

According to the source, the film adaptation of the Eternals comics, which appeared on print pages back in the 70s, is considered by Marvel bosses as one of the potential new franchises, and Matt and Ryan Firpo were invited to write a script for the blockbuster. The duo caught the attention of producers last year when their screenplay for the thriller Ruins was featured on the famous Blacklist.

The Eternals are a race of superhumans that have become Marvel classics, but not well known to the general public. Millions of years ago, the space gods Celestials began to conduct experiments on humanity, as a result of which powerful creatures appeared, doomed to an endless struggle with their opposites - the Deviants. So, the parents of the main antagonist of "War of Infinity" Thanos were just Eternal, and the villain himself is the carrier of the Deviants gene.

During a promotional campaign for Infinity War, Kevin Feige confirmed that the Eternals movie is one of the many projects Marvel is considering for Phase 4. There is little information about the rest of the blockbusters, and among the confirmed ones there is a sequel to Spider-Man.
