Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore
The tale "The Amazing Wizard of Oz" is rightfully considered one of the most screened masterpieces of world literature. In the last few years alone, the blockbuster "Oz: The Great and Terrible" and the series "The Emerald City" have been released, and the prequel books by Lyman Frank Baum and the horror movie based on it are in preproduction. The Warner Bros. studio, which is preparing an animated film about the magical land of Oz, did not lag behind its competitors.As it became known to The Hollywood Reporter, the WB management acquired the rights to film adaptation of Michael Morpurgo's children's book "Toto". In his work, the author of the famous "War Horse" retells the story of the journey of the girl Dorothy to the Emerald City on behalf of her faithful companion, the dog Toto. The book was published last summer and has received flattering reviews in the press. Oscar nominee Mark Burton (Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Werewolf Rabbit, Sean the Sheep) will write the script for the animation.
