The young film company RAMstar Studios is set to challenge the most profitable Hollywood studio of the past few years. Сomicbookmovie announces that RAMstar is starting work on the adaptation of Donald Abbott's book " How the Wizard Got Oz ".The prequel to the famous fairy tale by Lyman Frank Baum " The Amazing Wizard of Oz " tells how the circus illusionist Oscar Diggs transported to a magical land and became known as the Great and Terrible Wizard . The plot of the picture evokes direct associations with the blockbuster "Oz: The Great and Terrible" by Disney . In 2013, this film by Sam Raimi did not cause much enthusiasm among critics, but reached the level of self-sufficiency, earning $ 493 million at the worldwide box office with a budget of $ 215 million .  How the Wizard Came to Oz was published in 1991. It will be adapted for the big screen by Abbott and will be directed by Cole S. McKay (SWAT: Squad Delta).
