Kate Winslet to voice the horse
Oscar-winning Kate Winslet (The Reader, Titanic) will voice the horse in the reboot of The Black Handsome. Mackenzie Foy (Interstellar, The Nutcracker and the Four Kingdoms) will play the main role in the film. Ashley Avis (Youth) will direct and write."Black Handsome" is based on the novel of the same name by Anna Sewell, which is considered one of the most popular works of children's literature in the world. This is a story about a stallion who goes through various hardships in search of happiness. As you know, the authors of the reboot made some changes to the original story, turning a harness stallion into a wild horse caught in the plains of Wyoming. Foy will play a 17-year-old girl whose friendship with the now "black beauty" will help her survive the death of her parents.  "Black Handsome" has been filmed both in films and on TV more than once. The latest adaptation, released in 1994, stars Sean Bean (The Lord of the Rings) and David Thewlis (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), and the stallion is voiced by Alan Cumming (Spy Kids).
