Margot Robbie will reimagine Shakespeare
Back in 2014, actress Margot Robbie founded her own production company, LuckyChap, to promote talented female filmmakers. LuckyChap helped create the Oscar-nominated drama Tonya Against All, for which the company is now looking to direct a series based on Shakespeare. The portal Deadline reports.According to the source, a whole team of directors and screenwriters, consisting of the fair sex, will work on the show. The planned ten episodes are based on works by William Shakespeare, adapted to modern realities and designed to show the diversity of cultures that coexist in Australia. Australian Broadcasting Company, Hoodlum and ABC Studios International will co-produce the project with LuckyChap. The last two companies have worked well on the TV series Dr. Harrow, starring Ioan Griffith.  Filming for the new show should begin in Australia this year. It is not yet known whether Margot Robbie will limit herself to production functions or whether she wants to play one of the heroines of the great bard.
