Venom will not keep you waiting long
After "Venom" became one of the highest-grossing films of the past year, the studio Sony decided to give the green light to the sequel of the antihero's adventures, according to Variety. The film company nominated Kelly Marcel, who co-wrote the original film, to write.According to sources close to the negotiation process, although the value of the contract was not disclosed, the amount of the deal turned out to be quite substantial. Marcel will also executive produce the film, in which Tom Hardy will return as the titular symbiote. Sony declined to comment on the news. Recall that "Venom" grossed $ 855 million worldwide. Recently there were rumors that the studio has set a date for the premiere of an unnamed Marvel sequel for October 2020. Comic book fans put the facts together and decided that space was reserved for the continuation of Eddie Brock's adventures, since the previous tape came out at the same time.  Michelle Williams is expected to return to her role, with Woody Harrelson taking on the role of Carnage. The director's chair for the project is still empty, but sources say that the studio may go in search of a new director, as Ruben Fleischer will be busy filming the sequel to Zombieland. Prior to Venom, Kelly Marcel worked on the box office hit Fifty Shades of Gray. She is currently involved in several projects, including the Elvis Presley biopic and Cruella for Disney.
