Gillespie Against Police Corruption
According to Variety, Craig Gillespie, director of the sports drama "Tonya Against All", has signed up to shoot a new project, "Seven Five," which will be produced by Eli Holzman and John Lesher with support from Annapurna Pictures.The police drama has been in development by Sony since 2014 and is based on Tiller Russell's eponymous documentary about the corruption that flourished in a police department in the 1980s. At the center of the story is the 75th New York Police Station, which is famous for its cruel and corrupt employees. The plot revolves around officer Michael Dowd, caught racketeering and distributing drugs and sentenced to 12 years in prison. Presumably, he will become the protagonist of the future Gillespie film. Details on the cast and filming start date are not yet available.  Recall that "Tonya Against All" claims three Oscar statuettes, and Margot Robbie received a nomination in the category "Best Actress" from the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
