The Berlinale jury staked on candor

Image The 68th Berlin International Film Festival has completed its work in Germany. The opening of the show took place on February 15, and it began with the demonstration of a new creation by Wes Anderson "The Island of Dogs". The animated film was among the contestants and brought Anderson the prize for the best director.

All in all, 19 films were presented in the main program, and the judges recognized the Romanian drama "Don't Touch" the best among them. The choice of the jury, which this year was headed by Tom Tykwer, came as a surprise to many. "Don't Touch" is the story of a woman in her fifties just beginning to discover her sexuality. The picture by Adina Pintilie turned out to be quite frank and provocative. In addition to the Golden Bear, she also won the best debut award.

USA cinema at the 2018 Berlinale presented the film "Dovlatov", which brought costume designer Elena Okopnoy a prize for outstanding artistic achievement.

The winners of the 68th Berlin Film Festival in the main categories are:

Best Film - Don't Touch (directed by Adina Pintilie)
