The main character of the novels is a girl named Dylan, who, after a train crash, wakes up on an empty mountain slope. At first it seems to her that she is the only survivor, but soon Dylan realizes that everything happened exactly the opposite. In the accident, only she died, and the land around was by no means Scotland, but a wasteland with ghosts prowling in search of souls. And the boyfriend who is waiting for her is also no ordinary person: Tristan accompanies her to the afterlife. He has traveled like this a thousand times, but Dylan is not like the others. Young people suddenly fall in love with each other, and this love will entail dangerous consequences. Critics praised Claire McFall's debut novel, which turned out to be funny, and in places - heartbreaking work about the first love that originated in an interesting world between life and death from the point of view of mythology and philosophy.  It is curious that the name of the Scottish teacher Claire McFall is little known to the British, but after the publication of her first novel in China, the writer was dubbed a real phenomenon.
