Mylene Farmer and the scary dolls. Ghost Lands Trailer

Image In 2008, French director Pascal Laugier shocked moviegoers with his film Martyrs, which is almost entirely naturalistic torture scenes but has won several prestigious awards and is critically acclaimed as part of the neo-horror fashion genre. In 2011, his "Bigger" was released with Jessica Biel - a thriller about missing children, in which blood and guts faded into the background, and the oppressive atmosphere and suspense came to the fore. And now, seven years later, Laugier decided to return to an uncompromising portrayal of violence: judging by the trailer for his new film, Ghost Land, this project will be closer to Martyrs than to Verzila.

According to the plot, the popular writer Beth (Crystal Reed) returns to her home, where something terrible happened to her family 16 years ago. At home, her mother (played by Mylene Farmer herself) and sister Vera (Anastasia Phillips), still suffering from post-traumatic stress, are waiting for her. At least that's how you might think when you see how much strange Vera is obsessed with ghosts. However, very soon Beth will face such terrible things that the nightmare of 16 years ago will seem to her just a children's fairy tale.

Before Ghostland, Mylene Farmer starred in a full-length movie only once - in the 1994 film Giorgino. But they collaborated with Lodge quite recently - in 2015, he shot a video for the song `` City of Love '' for the famous French singer. The performer of the role of Beth, actress Crystal Reed, fans of American TV may remember as Sofia Falcone from the TV series "Gotham".
