Will Ferrell will star at Eurovision
Today, it's hard to believe that streaming giant Netflix hit the international stage just eight years ago. After the online service became available in two hundred countries around the world, its management stopped focusing exclusively on the tastes of the American public. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix is starting work on a comedy about the little-known in the United States, but very popular in the Old World, the Eurovision Song Contest.The first international pop song festival took place in 1956 in Lugano. The most famous winners of the competition are considered to be the Swedish ABBA quartet, Italian Toto Cutugno and Canadian Celine Dion, representing Switzerland. The details of the plot of the comedy tentatively titled "Eurovision" are still kept secret. So far, we only know that Emmy Award winner Andrew Steele (Saturday Night Live) and famous American comedian Will Ferrell (Hello Dad New Year) are working on the script for the film. The latter also expects to play the main role in the film.  Eurovision will be produced by Jessica Elbaum (Cops in Deep Stock) and Oscar-winning Adam McKay (Shorting).
