Difficulties in New York
Sixteen years ago, Sofia Coppola and Bill Murray got lost in neon Tokyo, in 2015 they celebrated Christmas together, and now the duet from Lost in Translation is ready to present the audience with a new joint creation. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Coppola will lead the filming of On the Rocks, starring Murray.The film will be the first project by independent studio A24 for Apple under an agreement signed last November. More recently, the media giant has wanted to compete with Netflix and other streaming platforms. First, Apple's management set to work on TV shows, and now it’s turn to movies. The speech in Coppola's tape will focus on the New York adventures of a young mother and her father - a playboy, who else to look for. Other details of the film are not disclosed, but it is known that Murray will be accompanied by Rashida Jones ("A Very Murray Christmas"). Filming of the project will start this spring.  While most of Apple's TV shows will be family-friendly, the films are likely to touch upon controversial topics. Studio A24 excelled thanks to Moonlight, Lady Bird and Eighth Grade, and Coppola almost always shoots R-rated films. The only exception among her works is Marie Antoinette.
