Spider-Man will have an unexpected ally
Actor Tom Holland ("Spider-Man: Homecoming") announced that in the new film about the adventures of Spider-Man, viewers will see his hero fighting alongside the illusionist Mysterio against four Marvel villains known as the Elementals. This statement is doubly strange and perplexing, since, firstly, the filmmakers were rather cool about Mysterio as a figure in the cinema, and secondly, the Elementals themselves are rather obscure characters, even for comic book lovers. The Internet portal ScreenRant writes about this.Little was known about the plot of Spider-Man: Far From Home, except that Peter Parker somehow managed to escape death in Infinity War. Judging by the title of the film and the locations of the filming, which took place in London, Prague, Liberec (Czech Republic) and Venice, the plot will be based on the trip of Peter and his classmates to Europe as part of a school trip, and Spider-Man will have to fight with some international criminals. It also became known that one of the main roles will be performed by Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain). He will play Quentin Beck, known as Mysterio, a special effects master who uses his talent on the side of the forces of evil. Jake recently hinted at this on his Instagram.  According to Holland's tweets, it can be assumed that Mysterio's role in the film will be quite voluminous. After showing the first official trailer at ComicCon in Brazil, Tom made a statement regarding the film's storyline that had the effect of a bomb. It turned out that instead of the expected confrontation, Spider-Man and Mysterio will unite to fight the threat posed by the Elementals. First appearing in the August 1974 comic Supernatural Thillers as an immortal quartet of unknown origin, the Elementals harnessed the magical powers of four basic natural elements. They were Hydron - Master of Water, Magnum - Master of Earth, Hellfire - Master of Fire, and Zephyr - Lord of the Wind. Enemies of the Living Pharaoh and the Living Mummy, the Elementals were betrayed by the lord of the wind and were thrown from Earth. They later returned to fight Captain Marvel, who was known to everyone as Ms. Marvel at the time. At first glance, such a statement does not seem like the truth, especially when you consider Holland's reputation as a well-known prankster and an amateur to play pranks on the public and reporters. However, his statements are consistent with what Gyllenhaal said about the film and his role in it during an interview with one of the Brazilian sites: “There is a threat to this world in the person of the Elementals, and Mysterio is the one who knows a thing or two about them. and wants to make sure they are no longer a threat. Nick Fury asks him for help, as Mysterio is the only one who really knows and understands them. That's when Quentin teams up with his friendly neighbor Spider-Man, who, unfortunately, becomes more than just a friendly neighbor. ”  Even though Gyllenhaal's words confirm Holland's story, it seems unlikely that Spider-Man and Mysterio will be able to confront the immortal beings with magical powers.
