Space Lord of the Flies
Filmmakers and television workers continue to do everything possible to make children of today stop dreaming of astronaut careers. As it became known to the publication Deadline, another project about the horrors of space is being prepared by the young Hollywood film company AGC Studios.Los Angeles-based studio executives have given the green light to the sci-fi thriller Voyagers. At the center of the narrative will be thirty teenagers selected to participate in a mission to conquer a new planet. When the captain of the colonists' ship dies under mysterious circumstances, the young crew members will give free rein to animal instincts and begin to plunge into the abyss of madness ... Work on the film is expected to begin this spring. Filming will be directed by Neil Berger, director of Fields of Darkness, The Illusionist and the recent remake of the French dramedy 1 + 1.  The preliminary synopsis of the tape evokes associations with the plot of the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding, which also dealt with teenagers who could not get along in a confined space.
