The Fall Team will take to the Irish wilderness

Image BBC Two will continue its collaboration with the creator of the acclaimed psychological thriller The Fall, Allan Cabitt. As it became known to the Belfast Telegraph, the three-time BAFTA nominee is starting work on a television adaptation of Eugene McCabe's novel Death and the Nightingales.

The book by the popular British playwright is set in 1883 in the small Irish county of Fermanagh. In the center of the plot is a girl named Beth Williams, who, after the death of her Catholic mother, remained in the care of a strict Protestant stepfather. On the day of her twenty-fifth birthday, the main character of the story decides to end her former life and run away from home in the company of the charming deceiver Liam Ward ...

On the set of Cabitt's three-part miniseries, he will reunite with Fall star Jamie Dornan. “I'm glad that fate gave me a chance to return to Ireland and work with Allan and BBC Two,” the actor admitted.
