DC will bet on solo albums
Last year, Warner Bros. presented to the public a large-scale superhero crossover of the DC cinematic universe. The film Justice League was crushed by critics and failed to meet the financial expectations of studio bosses. According to the portal Comicbookmovie, the failure of last year's blockbuster forced the WB leadership to change the strategy for the development of the cinematic universe.The WB bosses were so anxious to give an answer to The Avengers that they spent about $ 300 million on the production of Justice League. Taking into account advertising costs, the threshold for the film's self-sufficiency was estimated at about $ 750 million. As a result, the picture fell short of this bar, having completed cinema rental at around $ 657.9 million. If the Marvel studio systematically prepared the audience for its crossovers, then the WB management introduced to the public several key heroes of the superhero team using short video profiles in the blockbuster "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice".  Naturally, when watching "League" many viewers did not worry at all about the fate of completely unfamiliar characters. According to rumors, the WB management will work on bugs and will continue to focus on solo films. At the moment, the studio is already preparing tapes about the adventures of Aquaman, Shazam and Wonder Woman. It looks like the WB may hold back the work on the Justice League sequel to reintroduce the members of its superhero collective to the public. In this case, films about Flash and Cyborg will probably go into production in the coming years.
