Bruce Willis will train Mike Tyson
The Die Hard star will play legendary boxing coach Cus D'Amato in the biopic sports drama Cornerman, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film will be the director's full-length debut for Rupert Friend, known to TV fans for his role as Peter Quinn in the spy thriller Homeland.The tape will tell about how, after the retirement of Cus D'Amato, who raised many cool boxers, including Floyd Patterson and Jose Torres, was introduced to 13-year-old Mike Tyson. Cas immediately saw a powerful potential in the problem boy, took over his patronage and began to work to channel the boy's energy in the right direction. D'Amato died in 1985, about a year before 20-year-old Tyson became the youngest ever heavyweight champion in history.
